I woke up today and the sun was shining so bright. Which after graphing the weather with the students this month I didn't think I would see another sunny day again. I am now on fall vacation and so the sun was shining when I got up because I was able to sleep in. Lately I have been waking before the sun rises, which sucks, but that's what you have to do. I think day light savings is coming up.
After doing some basic things around the house I decided it was too nice of a day to stay in. I noticed on my computer that it was really nice out. It had already hit 60 degrees and it was just after 10. I needed to run some errand anyways before leaving for Paris on Friday. So I hopped on my bike and took off. It felt like spring time outside and I was so thankful for this weather.
I was thinking about going into work today and get myself ready for when the kids come back but it was just too nice to do such a thing, so I took the dog out for a walk instead. We walked around the neighborhood and eventually ended up in the park. Here I layed on the grass while the dog played. I watched him some, but also read from my book. It was such a peaceful feeling. The dog would alternate from playing to laying with me. It was such a nice day to just relax in the park and read. It felt really good to get out.
Well now it is night and about 3 hours ago it started to rain and the temperature dropped almost 20 degrees. I think this may have been the last really nice day Berlin will see until spring. I am just glad i got to enjoy the day.
I leave for Paris on Friday and I hope to have some great stories and pictures to share when I return. I miss all of you and hope everything is going well at home. Can't wait to see you at Christmas!!!

so is that something you would ever do here in the States? go to a park and lay in the grass and read a book? it sounds wonderful!
